I have a sub-domain which I use mainly as my sandbox for when I want to play with new code or new themes.
I installed an old version of the Divi theme on it and for what I’ve been needing that sandbox for, I don’t need to update the theme to its latest version but the constant notification was annoying me, so I’ve added this bit of code to my functions.php file and the notification is now gone 🙂
You may have a different use case for why you do not want to see the constant update reminder so I hope the code below helps you out
This code is to be added to your functions.php file just before your closing tag ?> and PLEASE be sure to backup your website before you make any changes to your functions.php file!Â
